Stupid Fire Alarm!

I am SUPER tired. Our fire alarm went off at 4 AM. Just for a few seconds. But it is INCREDIBLY loud and screechy -- and woke me up all panicky! It stopped almost as soon as I figured out what it was. Steve actually woke up, too (miracle -- he doesn't wake up for ANYTHING), and he dutifully checked the house. Grayson slept right through it. And then right when we were settling down again, it went off AGAIN. Now I was freaked. It only lasted another few seconds, but by now I was WIDE awake, paranoid, and thinking it was a sign from God that we were in danger. I made Steve check the house again, and I checked Grayson again (still sleeping -- wow, I envy him). Our pit bull barely picked his head up, and didn't bother getting off the bed -- which is the only thing that kept me from running out of the house. Steve grumbled back into bed, immediately fell asleep (as did the dog), and I stayed awake for the next 2 1/2 hours, alternating between praying, listening intently for any ominous sounds, and trying to think of something, ANYTHING else. Finally fell asleep -- nothing was wrong. We're all fine. But I lost a lot of sleep. Bleck.

The beeping means you need new batteries. I do it about every 6 months. I can't believe how big Grayson is. He is adorable!!!

No, it wasn't just the battery beep -- we changed the batteries like 3 weeks ago! This was full-out ALARM mode -- SOOOOOOOOOOOO loud and obnoxious!
Any yes, Grayson IS adorable :D hehe

Hey Sam,

There's this website that is always doing different contest. It's too late to enter this months contest, but you should check it out. You're always making cute crafts so I thought this would be perfect for you.

funny story! The same thing happened to me but Brett was out of town. I was freaked out and Brylee slept through the whole thing.

Same thing happened to Brad and I about 4 weeks ago! Super annoying and it woke little Parker up and he wouldn't go back to bed. So our day started at 3:30 AM!
