Stupid Fire Alarm!
I am SUPER tired. Our fire alarm went off at 4 AM. Just for a few seconds. But it is INCREDIBLY loud and screechy -- and woke me up all panicky! It stopped almost as soon as I figured out what it was. Steve actually woke up, too (miracle -- he doesn't wake up for ANYTHING), and he dutifully checked the house. Grayson slept right through it. And then right when we were settling down again, it went off AGAIN. Now I was freaked. It only lasted another few seconds, but by now I was WIDE awake, paranoid, and thinking it was a sign from God that we were in danger. I made Steve check the house again, and I checked Grayson again (still sleeping -- wow, I envy him). Our pit bull barely picked his head up, and didn't bother getting off the bed -- which is the only thing that kept me from running out of the house. Steve grumbled back into bed, immediately fell asleep (as did the dog), and I stayed awake for the next 2 1/2 hours, alternating between praying, listening intently for any ominous sounds, and trying to think of something, ANYTHING else. Finally fell asleep -- nothing was wrong. We're all fine. But I lost a lot of sleep. Bleck.

Running in the Sun!
I LOVE these guys! :) I'm the luckiest gal in the world!!!!
We are LOVING the warm(er) weather -- Gray would stay outside all day day, every day -- if I let him :) And his daddy loves to play outside, too! :)
Steve was holding Grayson's hands and running, so Gray's feet would barely touch the ground -- Gray kept saying "FAST! FAST!" -- poor Steve ran back and forth across the yard soooo many times! He got his workout in that night :)
Of course, Gray can run pretty fast all by himself! He is so cute -- he gets the most determined look on his face, and concentrates so hard!
He was laughing SO hard!
Ollie thought this was all quite exciting, too!
I LOVE this one :) He's such a gangsta:
This is usually how Gray throws a ball: he does the "no-look" pass -- looks at the ball out the corner of his eye, throwing the ball to the side. Or over his head.
But his daddy IS teaching him how to throw correctly -- he's getting better :)
Oh the EYELASHES!!!!!!!!!!
Man, does this kid EVER slow down????!!! No....no he doesn't.
Oh man these boys are fun :)

Baby Animal Days
What a fun day! Gray, Nana, Auntie Sarah, Rowan, and I headed up to Logan today to go to the Baby Animal Days at the American Heritage Center! And boy, oh boy, Gray was in HEAVEN!!!!! He RAN everywhere, and couldn't stop shouting and pointing and making animal sounds :) SO fun!
Here he is with the piglets ("pig-gies!!")
"Baaaa"ing at the sheep
This sheep liked Gray -- as soon as it saw him, it trotted (do sheep trot?!) right over, stuck it's nose right through the slats, and tried to sniff him :)
The cute rabbits! Gray didn't actually want to hold them, or pet them, but he loved looking! :)
Fun chickens! I love how he says chicken sounds - "Bawk ba-GAWK!"
With the goats -- these are the first things we saw, and he was LOVING IT -- then he was chasing one of them around these rocks, and it jumped right in front of him -- very close -- and startled him! He started screaming, and we left the pen after that :)
Cute baby Rowan with the goat
Gray LOVED the horses -- kept neighing at them, saying "BIIIIIG!!!", etc :) We spent most of the time right there by the horses!
If this face doesn't say "beyond-excited toddler", I don't know what does!
Gray loved the horses so much, he kept running away from me -- seriously RUNNING as fast as he could -- to go back to them :)
The highlight of the trip: the "COW!!!!"
Gray was looking for cows all day -- we finally found them at the end -- The volunteer let him into the pen, and I didn't think I would ever get him out again!!! He loved that cow!! :)
There were also the CUTEST baby bears -- but I was carrying Grayson at that point, and didn't get any pictures. They were adorable though! (OO - Sarah just sent me a picture she took! Behold the cuteness!!!!)
The animals are only there until Sunday, so go SOON!! :) Well worth it! What a great day! Gray is STILL talking about it!!

Happy Easter!
How STINKIN' CUTE is my little guy?! :) Here he is in his cute Easter outfit!! Gray was in LOVE with these ducklings -- they were so cute! He didn't want to touch them, but he got WAY upset if you tried to put them away. He told everyone he saw about the "DUCKS! QUACK QUACK!" for DAYS after this!! :)
Awesome pictures by my friend Amy Call -- http://amycallphotography.blogspot.com
We had our own little Easter egg hunt/Easter baskets on Saturday. Here is Gray's stash:
I made him some little chick friends. Here's how they start out:
Then off comes the top:
And here they are all the way hatched!! :)
Here is Steve being all excited with his basket :) Hehe -- I threatened him that this would go on the blog -- I make good on my threats! Bwa ha ha ha haaaaa!
Steve's basket/my basket -- without Steve's fat head in the way ;)
Here is Gray when he found his basket after his nap.
He loved his little airplane and train! And his Pez dispenser Buzz Lightyear!
He wasn't too interested in finding eggs, but he found a few of em -- and loved the treats inside.
He was giving the egg a hug :)
Here are a few of the eggs we dyed for our family -- my "Mom" one bled, but the "Dad" and "Grayson" ones are very cute still
I didn't take pictures today, but I will document what we did. It was quite the fun-filled day!! We started out the day by going to my parents' house for breakfast (YUMMY french toast, deviled eggs, bacon, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries! Mmmmmmmm); then we watched/listened to conference and kept Grayson and Rowan entertained with their new Easter toys/treats; we kept Trent entertained by talking about Samoa cookies.
During the break, we went to Steve's Grandma's house for lunch (ham, seafood salad, veggies, fruit, dutch-oven chicken, and apple-Snickers salad), the annual Easter egg scavenger race (I SO kicked trash at it this year -- I came in like 3rd I think! I have done this race for 5 years, and I have ALWAYS come in dead last -- allow me to gloat a bit over my relative victory). Don't worry, Lincoln -- someday (like in 5 years), you too will come in 3rd.
The rest of the fam headed out for the egg roll (someone tell me who won!), while we loaded up to get Gray home in time to take a nap (he was fading fast -- it was 2 hrs past his nap-time). We got home, Gray took a nap, Steve and I listened to more conference.
When Gray woke up, we went to Steve's parents' house -- we ate, we played, we had lots of fun! :) Gray got spoiled AGAIN, and got some fun new toys. We now have amassed enough Easter candy to put a small country into a sugar coma. As I post this, I am even now eating a delicious mini KitKat. Yum yum yum! I love Easter!
Lest you think Easter is all about the candy for me, I will also point out that our FHE last Monday was all about the resurrection, and we will repeat the story again tomorrow (all about the repetition with the 2-yr-old). We also said special prayers together, and talked frequently of Christ throughout our Easter celebrations. We are infinitely grateful for Christ, and his atonement and resurrection!
Happy Easter, everyone!
