Adventures!

We went out to my mom's friend's house up by Pineview, so Steve could help Sheri with her computer -- we all went because Sheri has goats, and thought Gray would have fun with them! He sure did -- and he also loved throwing rocks in the river, and poking sticks in the dirt, and running everywhere as fast as he could go! He had quite the adventure!! :D Here are some pictures --what a pretty place, huh!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Today is my 26th birthday! Wow. I am officially closer to 30 than I am to 20. That kinda blows my mind a little. So weird. Anyway, I had a very fun day! Gray was a happy little energetic ball of love today, which always makes ME happy! OOh, AND he took a 3 hour nap, of which I myself slept for 2 hours as well! Ahhh wonderful! The best present he could have given me :D My brother JD took me out to lunch at Eastern Wind's, which was yummy and fun (thanks, Jade!), and he gave me some moolah, too, which I combined with some money my grandma gave me (THANKS, Ama!!!), and I took it all to Michael's, and bought me some awesome cartridges for my Cricut machine!!!!! Oo, I'm excited for those!! I got two of them for less than one usually costs!! Hollah!! Then my mom came and visited me, bringing gifts of peach cobbler and ice cream!!!!!! MMMMMMMMMMMMmmm! And she told me that she ordered me some new BOOTS!!!!!! If you know me at all, you know I am a bit of a boot-aholic. Oh how I love them! I'm so excited to get them!! Here's a picture of them: (I'm getting the gray ones in the middle)

Then Steve got home and he gave me my other presents! I put a picture of all my presents below:

He got me a new "skin" for my laptop, brandy roses (my favorite!), two crochet books to give me new inspiration for my Graybees :), a PedEgg (been wanting one of these for a while!), some new J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts) books, and an AWESOME headband that my friend Jessica made that I've been debating about buying for weeks now, ever since I saw it! It's a flower made out of stained glass!! Awesome!! (if you like it, go visit her website HERE!!)

(me wearing the headband! SO cute! --the headband, not me)

But here's the BEST part!!!!!!!
He bought me tickets to WICKED!!!!!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how friggin' excited I am for this! I was BEYOND disappointed/depressed when I couldn't get tickets to go see it when it was here in SLC, so he got me tickets to go see it in Seattle! So I got tickets, and a weekend trip TO Seattle, AND he booked a "deluxe pedicure" for me at the hotel spa!!! How spoiled am I?! :D I have the best husband in the world!!

Thanks to everyone who called/texted/sent a card/stopped by today! I feel so loved!! :D What an awesome birthday!!

Random Pictures

My mom just sent me these pics -- so I thought I'd share :)

Grayson has a mild obsession with chips and salsa. Seriously. I have never known an 18-month-old who likes salsa. But he LOVES it. He'll scoop up as much as he can, suck it off the chip, then go for more. And occasionally eats the chip, too. Crazy, I know. He gets it from his dad.

Our attempt at getting a new picture of the granparents and their grandbabies. This was the best one. At least Rowan and my mom are smiling :)

This is our attempt at getting a picture of my sister and me with our boys. This was how all of them were. Too funny!

Steve showing Rowan his Ipod Touch. I LOVE the look on Row's face!! "OoooOOOOOOooo!!"

My mom and dad bought Grayson some toys for their sandbox, and there was a little watering can with them. So Gray decided he would help his Nana water her plants! Such a good helper! (Actually, he'd just fill the can up and dump all the water right back out again, then carry the empty can around and pretend to water the plants. But it was cute anyway)

He also greatly enjoyed splashing in the water/mud. Goodness, he is SUCH a BOY!! :)

My parents live right by the elementary school, so Grayson LOVES to go down there and play on the playground! This is him in the tube thingy. Isn't he so cute?! He always says "BIG!" when he's in there, because once when my dad took him down there, he told him he was such a big boy going through the tubes! hehe :)

Gray loves the playground, but his favorite part about the elementary school is going up and down the metal ramps to the portable classrooms. He loves to stomp and stomp and stomp and make LOTS of noise!!

This is Gray and his Nana enjoying her birthday present :) We got her some Sesame Street dolls that she wanted, and a Sesame Street book to go with them. Gray was very excited and will probably get more use out of them than she will! LOVE YOU NANA!!! Happy Birthday! We love you SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!
(and thanks for the pictures!) :)

A Fun Night at Fat Cat's

Steve and I just had a much-needed date night with our friends! We decided to have a flash-back-to-high school night, so we went to Jake's Over the Top for dinner, then went bowling. We tried to go to WSU first (this is usually where we went in high school), but they closed at 7 "for the holiday" --what?! You close early on Saturday for the holiday on Monday?? Especially when the holiday is LABOR DAY!? This makes absolutely no sense to me. Whatever. So we went to Fat Cat's instead. Which wasn't in existence when we were in high school. But in the spirit of acting like high-schoolers, we bowled like nerds (ok, Steve and I bowled like nerds), went mini golfing, and rode the bumper cars! Ahh what fun, what fun! Here are some pictures I took, so you can enjoy our fun times too! Feel free to laugh.
Kandis and Derek

Jessica and Adam

This is my sexy husband, aka "The Claw" -- he was so excited that we were going bowling, he wore his bowling shirt -- it has "The Claw" embroidered on the front. And "Chicco's Bail Bonds" on the back. Preeeetty snazzy. And so is this pose.

Remember the nerdy bowling I mentioned? Here is the proof...

... and even more proof.

Cute Jess

Action shot of Derek's skills.

Silly Jess! We get pretty silly/weird/dorky when we get together. What can I say? We've been friends forever! :)

A super-good shot of our mini golfing adventure. It's the only one I took, so it's going on the blog. (I especially like Adam's hot pink purse in this picture -- the boy knows how to accesorize!)

The fun-ness that is bumper cars!

Yay! Thanks, guys, for coming up to O-Town to play with us! It was super fun, and we need to do it more often!
And thanks, Jeanne, for watching Grayson, so we could have such a fun night!! :) It was nice to do something fun without being pulled a thousand different directions by my toddler! :)

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Steve won everything. He beat Derek in bowling by ONE POINT (!), and won by like 7 points in mini golf. He even beat Adam in the one arcade game they played! He was on a roll! Good job, honey! Ya made me proud :)
