Fun With Sandwich Bags!

Gray found the drawer with all the sandwich bags in it. So much fun, apparently! He proceeded to pull out every single bag one by one. Even tried to eat the box. Silly boy!!

At the Park with Nana!

I finally found the rest of the park pictures!! These are pics of Gray and my mom by the stream at the park! He loves his Nana -- she's one of his very favorite people!! She was throwing sticks down the stream, and he was fascinated watching them float away! Thanks, Nana, for all the fun times! Let's hope the weather gets warm again so we can go play again soon! :)

Happy Birthday, Steve-o!!

Yesterday was Steve's birthday! He's 27 now!! Yay! Happy Birthday, lovey! We didn't take any pictures of anything we did yesterday, so here are some random pics of Steve! :) Steve is the best husband/best daddy/best friend in the whole world!! He is so thoughtful and considerate of others, he's always willing to help anyone and everyone who asks. He is always so supportive of me and does anything to make me happy :) He is incredibly smart and talented in so many ways! Gray and I are so lucky to have him in our lives!! Me especially ;)!! We love you, Steve-o!!! Happy Birthday!!

My Etsy Shop!

So I did it! I opened my own Etsy shop! It's called When Skies Are Gray -- cute, huh?! :) There's not a whole lot on there right now, but I have a few things on there. I call my crocheted dolls "Graybees" -- because I think it's a cute nickname -- it's something Steve and I call Grayson sometimes, but I guess it's too "baby-ish" for such a big boy :) so it probably won't stick around as a nickname for him. So I thought it would be cute for my dolls!! :) So anyway, go check out my shop HERE, and if you'd like me to make you something special, just let me know -- I'll give it a shot :)

A Fun Day at the Park!

Yay for warm weather! We have been enjoying it! Warm weather means that Steve gets to ride his scooter to work, which means that I get the car! So we've been able to actually LEAVE the house = wonderful! We drove over to my mom's house yesterday, then went on a walk with her up to Mt. Ogden Park by her house! We had lots of fun! He loved the slide, but I didn't really get a good picture of him going down it. He wasn't quite sure about the swing -- he alternated between giggling and crying! But then my mom sat down on a bench by the river, and for some reason, that bench was more exciting than anything else in the park. It was hilarious to watch him -- he'd pound on it, try to climb on it, play with the bolts on it. Silly little guy! Then he found a stick on the ground that was infinitely interesting as well. Don't you just love to see the things little kids find fascinating? It amuses me! Then my mom threw sticks down the river for Gray to watch -- he liked that, too -- but I can't seem to find those pictures -- I'll post them as soon as I find them. But here are the pics I COULD find! I love the ones where he's crouching down -- I LOVE the way little kids look when they crouch down :) Anyway, there's a lot of pictures, but what can I say, I think this kid is the cutest guy ever :)

Bad Mother Moment....

I was SO tired today. I had no energy. So I may have let Grayson have the run of the house the last few hours before his bed time. I was upstairs going through the mail, and Gray went downstairs -- usually he just plays with the video game controllers and his pony toy, but this is also where the dog bowls are. He usually heads for them, hesitates, looks up at me, sees me watching, and turns around to play with something else. BUT this time I was not watching. I was being lazy. So of course he took the opportunity to go at it. I first heard him splashing in the water dish. I half-heartedly said "Grayson. You know you're not supposed to play in Ollie's dishes. Come here, please." Of course he ignored me. So I decided to ignore HIM (hehe) and let him have his fun. As long as it doesn't hurt him, it's fine, right? It was almost his bath time anyway. So I hear lots of splashing, lots of giggling. So cute. Then I hear the clinking and rustling of the dog food. More giggling. And then it goes quiet. Okay, I think to myself, I guess I better go stop him now before he chokes on the dog food, because I know he's now eating it. So I hoist myself off the floor, go downstairs, and find this:

Gray was happily eating as much of the dog food as he could (of course shoving his cheeks full as soon as he heard me coming), while throwing the rest of the food everywhere around him. He had already splashed all of the water out of the bowl, but had kindly replaced the water with his favorite toy elephant. Or maybe he was trying to give the elephant a bath. I don't know which -- but it's in the water dish! And I love that Ollie is just watching him like "Hey, that's MINE!!!" And just to round out my bad mother moment, of course I took a picture with my phone before I scooped all of the dog food out of his mouth and took him up to his bath. Hey, he had fun. No one got hurt. And I was just so darn tired! I'll do better tomorrow.

My Little Stuffed Friends

Ok, so I'm thinking of opening an Etsy shop. I like making things, and I would like to make a little extra cash! :) So here's my dilemma: What do I sell?? I've made felt brooches, so I could make those or headbands -- little baby/little girl headbands seem to be quite popular right now. Or I could paint wooden letters like I did for Grayson's name train. I can make crocheted hats and/or blankets, too. I'm also currently working on a few projects: I love crocheting, and I'm teaching myself how to make crocheted stuffed animals. So far, I've made an elephant, a bunny (I personally LOVE the bunny, but I've always loved bunnies), and a carrot rattle for the bunny. I'm going to make a monkey, giraffe, lion, pig, etc. And I'm also making Grayson a Bible activity book. I'll post pictures when I'm done :). I think I'm leaning toward selling the stuffed animals. They seem like they're pretty popular right now, and *I* sure think they're cute!! Here's my question, and be honest: Do YOU think they're cute enough? Do you think anyone would want to buy them?? Or do my other ideas sound better? If the activity book turns out cute, I'll probably sell those, too. So everyone leave me a comment and let me know what you think! Animals, brooches/pins, headbands/hairclips, hats/blankets, painted letters, or activity books! Or any combination of the above! :) Here are the pics of the animals I've made so far:
