My adorable little girl is one year old! Here's a little about what she's up to lately:
She is quite the little explorer. She's mastered the art of crawling, and loves that she can pretty much get wherever she wants to go. She can also pull herself up to standing, and is just starting to cruise around the furniture.
She's got two tiny little teeth -- her front bottom ones. She's pretty good at biting and ripping food with them.
She is just starting to sleep in her own crib in her own room. Until now, she's been co-sleeping next to me in our bed. She is a champ in her own bed, though! She sleeps great! And almost always soothes herself back to sleep if she wakes up. Much, MUCH easier than either of her brothers. Ha!
She's still nursing -- mostly right before bed and first thing in the morning. I almost gave up and called it quits about a month ago, but we stuck it out. She's not ready to be done yet.
She loves eating too, though. Her favorite foods are peas, yogurt, lucky charms, chicken nuggets, and chocolate! She loves eating out of the squeeze pouch and drinking out of her sippy cup -- she always looks so proud -- such a big girl! :)
She is absolutely delightful! Really! She is happy all the time. She only gets slightly fussy when she's hungry or tired. She only gets really mad when I put her down and walk away from her. She's a mommy's girl lately.
She has EVERYONE wrapped around her little finger. She is just so darn cute, no one can resist her. All she has to do is look at you with those gigantic blue eyes of hers, and she immediately gets whatever she wants. We're in trouble, guys. No one can say no to her. She's even gotten Grayson to give her his cookie. And he NEVER gives up a cookie. Haha!
She loves looking at books, especially when Grayson reads them to her. She squeals and claps her hands in delight at each page turn. It's adorable.
She is an absolute girly girl, and I LOVE IT. She loves shoes, dolls, and princesses. I've got her girly toys mixed in with the boys' toys, and without fail, she'll sift through it all until she finds something pink. :D
She says "mama", "dada", "bubba" (brother), "dah" (doll), and signs "more" and "all done". And sometimes when she does something she's proud of, she says what sounds like "Ididit" -- I swear! :D
She likes to dance and bob her head to music -- especially when someone is singing a song about HER -- which happens a lot. :)
We mostly call her Avy Jane, but she also gets called Avy, Squish or Sis/Sister/Sissy.
Oh, sweet baby girl! You are so loved! I can't wait to see what the next year brings!
