Couple workout video

This looks so fun!! I will not be trying out these moves personally for a while :) but I thought maybe others would like to get some ideas as well! Steve and I have decided we want to start working out together (after I have the baby obviously) to keep ourselves motivated, and this seems like a fun way to really work out together! I wonder if I'll look like her afterwards.... :)

Bye, Jordan!!!

Steve's brother Jordan left for the MTC last week! He's going to the Ohio, Cleveland mission, and he's so excited!! He left while I was still on bedrest, so he stopped by my house on his way down to Provo to say goodbye -- what a good brother-in-law!! He's sad that he had to leave before Baby is born, but we all decided maybe it's for the best -- Baby will be a little bigger/more durable when Jordan gets home! :) The first thing Jordan said when he found out we were going to have a boy was "I'm going to wrestle him"!!!! I think that would be a little better with a two-year-old rather than a newborn, don't you think?! It's going to be a lot quieter and a lot less interesting without Jordan around! I will miss the frequent text-messages with pictures of his latest emergency-room visit injuries, and the random calls asking how to spell random words ("Sam, how do you spell 'pheasant'? Ok, thanks, bye")!! He will be such an outgoing, fun and effective missionary!

FREE AT LAST!!!

I am officially off bed rest now!!! I can't tell you how excited I am! Steve and I celebrated yesterday, after my doctor's visit, by going out to eat at TGI Friday's, then we walked around the mall for a little bit. We got to park in one of the "Expectant Mothers" spots in the parking lot -- I got a kick out of that :) We didn't buy anything or really DO anything -- it was just SOOO nice to get out of the house and see other people for a change!! But I didn't last long -- started having a lot of pelvic pressure/pain and lots of contractions, so I had to go home and lie down again. But it was fun while it lasted! And today, I get to actually do some cleaning around the house! I promised Steve I wouldn't do too much (we want to keep Baby in for at least another week), but I'm excited just to get something done. You'd be amazed at all the things that run through your head when you can't do anything but lie in bed all day. The littlest things bug you so much! So here I go -- I'm going to go get something DONE! Yay!

Baby shower!

I got some much-needed time away from my bed this last week! I got permission from my doctor to go to my mom's house for a baby shower!! I had to lie down the whole time still, but at least it was a change of scenery! My friends Kandis and Jessica threw the party for me, and it was so fun to see everyone that came!

This is me and my momma -- the very excited grandma-to-be!!! She likes to talk to Baby and give him kissess :)

This is me lying down -- look how huge my belly is!!!!

This is my friend Jessica with a diaper cake she made -- so cute!!

Kandis was so excited to play this game -- 'Ooey Gooey, What's That Pooey' -- haha so funny! There's different melted candy bars in each diaper -- we had to guess what candy bar it was.

This is Steve's reaction to the Pooey diapers! I can't wait to see his face when he has to change the baby's diaper for the first time!!!! Hahahaha!

Fun times, fun times!! I'm now 35+ weeks, so the end is getting closer!! I may get to go off bed rest on Thursday --I'll be 36 weeks then -- and Dr.Lochner said Steve needs to take me to dinner so we can have one last date before the baby comes -- I quite agree! I'm so anxious to get out of the house and GO somewhere!!! I'm excited! But I'm sure Baby will come soon after -- I'm still having regular contractions at least twice a day, and I'm dilated to a 3 and 75% effaced -- so it probably won't take long after I stop the bed rest to go into labor. I'm determined to make it to full term, though, so I'm hoping I can keep him in there for another week! Cross your fingers for me :)

Bed rest bites!

Well, I'm about 34 weeks pregnant now -- 6 weeks away from my due date -- and I have been on bed rest for preterm labor for 5 weeks already. I am really close to going stir crazy!!! For all of you that think that staying in bed day in and day out -- never going to work, church, never even going outside -- sounds like it would be a fun time, let me tell you now -- it is NOT fun! But I only have 2 1/2 more weeks of bed rest, then they'll take me off the contraction-stopping drugs I'm on, and if I go into labor, they'll just let me! So at least an end is in sight!! :) My belly is getting HUGE now; Steve talks to my belly like it's a seperate entity -- "Hi, Sam; Hi Ollie; Hi huge belly; Hi Baby!" He has also taken a liking to calling me "the fat lady" -- very endearing, don't you think?! :) He says it very lovingly, of course! These pictures were taken about a week before I had to start bed rest, so I am MUCH larger now -- which is good, because that means he's getting bigger too :)
